HEFNU Condemns Russia’s Military Invasion of Ukraine

The Holocaust Educational Foundation of Northwestern University (HEFNU), its Director, Academic Council, and Advisory Board, condemn Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine. We stand with all those who oppose this war, particularly those who reside in Ukraine and Russia. We also strongly dispute Russian President Putin’s disingenuous characterization of the Ukrainian government and military as “Nazi,” and as carrying out genocide against Russians in Ukraine, while simultaneously using tactics reminiscent of those the Nazis used before WWII to justify annexation of Austria, Bohemia and Moravia (Czech lands), and Poland.
