Each year, the Holocaust Educational Foundation of Northwestern University (HEFNU) awards Sharon Abramson Research Grants. This year, six awards will be granted. Each grant of $4,000 supports research related to the Holocaust. Doctoral candidates nearing completion of their dissertations and scholars from all disciplines and career stages (including independent scholars) are eligible for this grant, which supports activities conducted during the academic year (September to September) following the award of the grant. The application deadline is early February each year. Applications open in December.
This year's competition is now closed. Applications were due February 1, 2021.

- Project Title
- Project Proposal (1500 word max)
- Applicant’s CV (4 pages max)
- Budget or indication of how the funds will be spent
- Two letters of recommendation (emailed separately by recommenders to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Sharon Abramson Research Grant Recommendation for Name of Applicant”)
